Two people were injured in a shooting Wednesday night in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Shortly before 7:15 p.m., police responded to reports of a possible shooting after a ShotSpotter activation in the 4200 block of International Boulevard east of the city’s Fruitvale neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds and provided care until first responders could transport them to a hospital. Their conditions were not immediately available Wednesday night. Evidence technicians recovered several spent rounds from a parked vehicle nearby. Investigators did not share any motives or word of any suspects in custody, and did not release any suspect or associated vehicle description.
