HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. — Joe Bonsall, the cherished voice of The Oak Ridge Boys , passed away on Tuesday, succumbing to complications of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis at the age of 76.
Joining in 1973, Bonsall brought a distinctive tenor to the quartet, enriching their sound with his versatile range and charismatic stage presence. His arrival marked a pivotal moment in the band's trajectory, coinciding with their transition from gospel roots to mainstream success.
