The National Weather Service says an EF0 tornado touched down Sunday near Versailles, Ohio.

VERSAILLES, Ohio — A small tornado touched down during the early-morning hours Sunday in Darke County in western Ohio, the National Weather Service has confirmed. The tornado touched down at 4:21 a.m. about two miles northwest of Versailles and was on the ground for nearly three miles, ending at 4:24 a.m.
The tornado still was strong enough to level two large barns, uproot trees and damage the roofs of several structures. A car also was moved from its parking spot and a piece of plywood was embedded under its hood, according to the Weather Service.It was ranked as an EF0, the lowest ranking on the Enhanced Fujita Scale, with top wind speeds of about 80 mph. The maximum is an EF5, which is a tornado with sustained winds over 200 mph.
