On Friday, the Strait Pirates were blanked 6-0 as they visited the East Hants Penguins in Lantz, N.S. Marcus Pettipas recorded the shutout, stopping all 35 shots he faced while Isaac Sparrow turned aside 32 of 38 shots to shoulder the loss. The Penguins received goals from Devin Meagher, Blake Irvine, Ryan Langlois, Brody Fraser Owen Cleary and Hayden Tamm.
On Saturday, the Membertou Jr. Miners lost 7-4 as they hosted the Shearwater-based Capstone Colts at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre. Owen McDermid and Cole Good each had a pair of goals for the Colts, with Liam Andrews, Xavier Coggins and Benjamin Veinot adding single markers.Joshua McCarther recorded the win while Darian McInnis took the loss as the Colts outshot the Jr. Miners 45-28.
On Sunday, the Colts travelled to Eskasoni where they shut out the Junior Eagles 5-0 at the Dan K. Stevens Memorial Arena. Jona Brace held the Eagles scoreless in nets for the Colts ,while Veinot led his team with a pair of goals. Coggins, Colin Goodwin and Jack Dulong also scored.
