“Due to the overall size of the storm, peak wind speeds, and the areas of impact, it was harder to respond,” he said, adding that NSP is working to replace deteriorated equipment as well as upgrading the system in response to climate change.More needs to be done Matt Drover, the director of energy delivery for NSP, said they recognize “communication could be better.” In the case of Fiona, he said, much of the communication was organized out of Dartmouth with Emergency Management Operations .

She was also without power for 13 days and didn’t once see an NSP truck but instead saw service trucks from New Hampshire.
