A Local Culinary Adventure: inspired by Halifax's Seaport Market | SaltWire #cooking #cookingtipsCOLDBROOK, N.S. — Six Nova Scotia agri-food companies will receive a share of nearly $5 million from the federal government to expand business growth opportunities.
A total of $4,855,000 will be split between Scotian Gold, Atlantic Poultry, Nova Agri, Van Meekeren Farms, Eden Valley Poultry and Sustainable Blue.Funding will be used across the board to help businesses make equipment upgrades to increase productivity and efficiency, as well as open more job opportunities locally.
"Nova Scotia's fruits, vegetables, meats and seafoods are world-famous," said Gudie Hutchings, minister responsible for ACOA. "By choosing to innovate, these companies are increasing yields, supporting good jobs and solidifying the Annapolis Valley's reputation as a world-class food producer."
