Former Norwich Township firefighter Caden Woodward, who was accused of purchasing child porn via a phone app, has resigned, the fire department has confirmed.

Oct. 11, 2023. Woodward was arrested on October 11 following an investigation that began in September. Police said he had been using CashApp to purchase illicit images of a minor from out of state.
Woodward had been placed on paid administrative leave immediately following his arrest, and has since officially resigned from the fire department. Norwich Township Fire Chief David Baird issued the following statement after Woodward resigned on Friday: Firefighter Caden Woodward resigned from the Norwich Township Fire Department effective immediately on October 20, 2023.The investigation into Woodward began after a woman in North Carolina was charged with human trafficking, sexual servitude, and more when the Chatham County Sheriff's Office said they found two juveniles to have been used for selling pornographic images and videos.
