Half of the 300 apartments in the Standard at Royal Lane rental community will be set aside for residents earning less than the average area median income.
A Kentucky-based developer of affordable apartment communities has gotten funding for a new project in northwest Dallas.
The Standard at Royal Lane apartments are planned on 12 acres near Denton Drive, two blocks from DART’s commuter transit stop. LDG Development is building the project. Half of the 300 units in the rental community will be set aside for residents earning less than the average area median income. “We look forward to expanding our footprint in the Dallas area and continuing our mission to provide a variety of housing options to the community,” Chris Dischinger, co-founder and co-principal of LDG Development, said in a statement. “The continued expansion of our presence in Dallas reflects the commitment of local leaders to ensure more Dallas residents have access to high-quality housing that will serve as a foundation for improved outcomes.
“LDG is proud to support this effort, and we look forward to continuing to partner with city leaders to address the ongoing need for more housing throughout the community.”The rental community will include a clubhouse, two swimming pools and two fitness centers.The building is already under construction with a completion set for 2024.“Bringing workforce housing into this area will be the start of transforming Northwest Dallas,” Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Omar Narvaez said in a statement.
