The Northern Lights were seen across the UK on Sunday night, with reports of the the phenomom being spotted as far south in England as Sussex, Wiltshire and even Cornwall.
In a tweet shared just before 6.30pm, the Met Office said: "The Aurora Borealis may be visible as far south as central England tonight where skies remain clear. The Northern Lights are also likely to be seen again on Monday night."
Since then people have been sharing their photos on Twitter, with sightings of the magical lights from as far south as Cornwall in England and Dublin in Ireland. The Met Office later confirmed there had been sigtings across the UK. In a tweet shrtly before midnight, the weather forcaster said: "A coronal hole high speed stream arrived this evening combined with a rather fast coronal mass ejection leading to Aurora sightings across the UK."
