'There has never been anything like this in Northern Ireland and it will really have a huge impact on the veteran community here.'

Northern Ireland's first veteran's centre has opened in Co Down after years of campaigning and fundraising.

Connor Ferguson and Ian Reid were two campaigners who took on the gruelling task of having a 'Big Dander' around Northern Ireland in order to raise funds for the project. They followed this up by walking around the UK and Ireland in order to raise even more to help the centre come together. Ian said:"We have received so much support over the past year as we took part in the Big Dander in order to raise funds for Harbour House and we are very thankful to everyone who has donated and helped us."

He said:"The support that we have received to develop Harbour House has been incredible and we are so grateful to everyone that has helped us.
