The competition is open to all ages
Food lovers are being invited to design their own pizza which will then be made for them specially by a bar in Northampton. Playhouse, in Bridge Street, Northampton Town Centre, launched the competition to mark National Pizza Day today, Thursday February 9, and is also giving away a group dining experience for three as part of the prize.
The bar and retro arcade is famous for its metre-long pizzas and has a wide range of pies on its menu , including the Truff Love, with mushroom, red Onion and Truffle Oil, and the Sausallito with fennel Sausage and red onion.Their local special is the Pitsford Bee Sting, which features N’duja, Caramelised Pineapple, and honey made from bees on the bar's own roof.

They also need to convince staff why their design should win.Entrants need to send their topping idea and a unique name for the pizza to [email protected]. They must also include their name, age, phone number and address and a short paragraph on why their design should win .
The competition is open now and will close on February 28. The winner will then have until May 30 to claim their prize of seeing their recipe brought to life. If the winner is under-18, then they must be accompanied by an adult. Strictly one entry per person. Travel not included, winner must make their own way to venue.
