On Wednesday, an official described as the"vice director general of the General Bureau of Equipment of the Ministry of National Defence" for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea issued a statement condemning any suggestion that Russia was being sent North Korean arms as a U.S. attempt at"tarnishing" North Korea's image,"We take this opportunity to make clear one thing," the North Korean official stated.
