A church building in Gastonia, North Carolina, was burned to the ground after it caught fire shortly after a morning service on Christmas Day, but the pastor remains hopeful.

No one was in the building when it became engulfed in flames, and nobody was injured,Firefighters with the Gastonia Fire Department spent much of the day fighting the conflagration, and shared photos of the devastation on Twitter.
