Based on the iconic works of J.R.R. Tolkien comes Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, premiering this week. Set thousands of years prior to the titular books, the series will explore the First and Second ages of Middle-earth and their major events, including the rise of Dark Lord Sauron.
Ahead of the show's premiere, Screen Rant spoke exclusively with stars Sophia Nomvete, Leon Wadham, Trystan Gravelle, and Benjamin Walker to discuss The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, developing their character chemistry, and more. Then we went and just had a cup of tea, laughed until we couldn't stop. And that was the beginning; that was the beginning of Owain and Sofia and Disa and Durin, because it was a safe space to be gregarious and passionate and excited for our love and respect as characters. And to try every which way to build and nurture our offset chemistry, so that we could throw it into our storyline.
Trystan, we've discussed your rapport and relationship with Cynthia Addai-Robinson in the series. Vut what was it like developing the relationship with Leon for the show? Benjamin Walker: It surpassed my expectations exponentially. Not only did I walk out there thinking, "I gotta get a bigger television," I also got to see my friends soar and be great at what they do.
