The Town of Truro announced on Tuesday they are now accepting submissions. Nomination papers must be returned to the town's returning officer between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Nomination Day or by appointment on Oct. 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23.18 years or older and a Canadian citizen as of Oct. 24.All taxes owed to the town are up to date.Not be disqualified under the Nova Scotia Municipal Elections Act.
Those eligible to vote in the special election will receive a voter information letter by mail leading up to the special election. It will be conducted via e-voting, with residents able to vote between Nov. 9-18. Voter kiosks will also be located throughout the town.
