Lieberman is the founding chair of No Labels. He said the centrist group’s top priority is qualifying for the ballot in every state. Lieberman, who was the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2000 as well as a longtime senator from Connecticut, said polling indicates the country is open to a possible presidential candidate who is neither President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump.
Lieberman did not say how the No Labels movement would select a presidential ticket or who might be considered, but said: “We think there’s a real opportunity for a third choice.”
