A suspect was taken into police custody then released after officers found a man shot to death in Denton.
Officers responded about 10 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 1600 block of East McKinney Street near Audra Lane and found a man with gunshot wounds in the parking lot, according to police. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Daniel Ryan, was taken to a hospital where he died.A male suspect was at the scene when police arrived and “is cooperating with the investigation,” police said, adding that they do not believe the suspect and victim knew each other.
