The No. 23 University of Houston volleyball team swept Memphis on Friday night for its program-record 18th consecutive victory.
The Cougars won 25-20, 25-18, 25-18 to extend the winning streak that began on Sept. 15. UH has swept the last eight matches and 11 overall during the streak.UH improved to 26-2 and 17-0 in the American Athletic Conference. A win Sunday against SMU would make the Cougars just the fourth AAC team to finish a perfect regular season, joining Louisville , Wichita State and Central Florida .
