There is no shortage of pro-union commentators gleefully telling us that Scottish independence is over. They say that with Nicola Sturgeon’sBut that could not be further from the truth. The cause of independence will always be far bigger than any one person or party.bread and butter issues
In the last 13 years our communities have suffered the brutal cuts and austerity of the Cameron and Osborne era, the hostile environment of Theresa May, the lies of Boris Johnson and the extreme economic experiments of Kwasi Kwarteng and Liz Truss. Our role in government has allowed us to undo some of this damage. But being in the Scottish Parliament has also exposed the huge and glaringWhen it comes to issues like minimum wage, public ownership and taxation, all of the biggest powers lie with a Westminster government that simply doesn’t care about the consequences. They have shown the same disregard for our climate.
