Given tonight’s Met Gala guests adhered to a “Garden of Time” dress code, it’s not surprising that many A-list celebrities embraced sprightly florals on the red carpet. But few did so as well as Nicki Minaj . This evening, the rap superstar transformed herself into a whole floral sculpture—courtesy of an avant-garde design by Marni’s Francesco Risso.
Complete with the floral shoes and dazzling jewels to match, she resembled a high-fashion bouquet. Minaj is a pro when it comes to nailing fashion at the Met Gala. This evening marked her seventh time attending the affair, and over the years she has always brought drama and theatrics to the red carpet. At the 2022 Met Gala, for instance, the star wore a vampy black look by Burberry’s Riccardo Tisci; The ballgown was embellished with feathers and punctuated with a formal baseball cap.
