.beeple has opened up Beeple Studios, a 50,000-square-foot event and creation space in Charleston, South Carolina, dedicated to fostering community around digital art. camthompson reports
Beeple made headlines in the early days of the NFT boom, when he sold his most famous work “Everydays: The First 5,000 Days” forin a Christie's auction in March 2021. It has remained one of the most expensive NFTs ever sold to date.
The opening event for Beeple Studios took place on Saturday and was done in partnership with art auction house Christie’s. The gallery walls were lined with artwork from NFT artists like Fvckrender, XCopy, Pak, Victor Duarte, Refik Anadol and others., Winkelmann will use the space to create his artwork. It also features a 13,000-square-foot gallery and 13,000-square-foot experiential space.
While the studio is not yet open to the public, it will allow people to register for time slots to visit the gallery. Immersive, in-person digital art experiences have been on the rise in recent months as NFT art has found its place in prominent museums. In February, NFT collector and investor
