Why does an NFL’s star’s autographed jersey adorn the Pine Valley fire station, whose occupants serve the Cuyamaca Mountain community and other folks in central San Diego County?All-Pro receiver Davante Adams provided an autographed Raiders jersey to San Diego County Fire Station 44 in appreciation of the paramedics and 911 operator who revived local resident Darryl Chapman, 72, with a large assist from Chapman’s wife, Jackie.
The medical team accompanied Chapman on the 35-minute ambulance ride to Sharp Grossmont Hospital where he received care across four days. “Davante was more than happy to do it and excited about it,” said Kenny, who with Frank Bauer represents Adams and many other NFL clients for Sun West Sports agency. “Off the field, he’s just a regular, down-to-earth guy.”
