It’s been a long time coming for the 63-year-old veteran coach, who helped thesecure their first postseason berth since 2017-18 Saturday. He was booed off the ice and listened as thousands of fans chanted “Fire Lindy” after his team’s 0-2-0 start five months ago. Then, of course, he watched those jeers turn to mass apologies not one month later.
