team recently traveled to The Last Frontier to team up with the Alaska National Guard for a training mission on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
The series is hosted by Naveed Jamali, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a former double agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation . Since starting its page onlate last year, the channel already boasts 161K subscribers with over 3M views. He said the series title encompasses what everyone experiences when serving their country — including his own.
His own story is unique in that he was initially rejected from the U.S. Navy when he tried to enlist after 9/11. To receive a letter of recommendation from the FBI to be able to join, Jamali agreed to help the FBI with a Russian counterintelligence operation. “Our job is to both humanize the people in the military and demystify what it’s like for the outside world,” Jamali said. “We’re trying to speak to a general audience, and that was the nexus for it.”
