The provincial government announced Monday, March 13, that it would extend the tax reduction on gas and diesel for the next year until March 31, 2024. The decision maintains a lower price at the pump by 8.05 cents per litre, including HST. The extension is estimated to cost $63.4 million. It is part of the province's 2023 budget, which will be delivered in the House of Assembly on Thursday, March 23.
