New Strictly Star Jointly Tops Leaderboard As Show Hosts Its Most Surreal Themed Week Yet

With the BBC celebrating its centenary, Strictly paid its own special (and surreal) homage to the broadcaster.

It saw him dancing to the show’s Julia’s Theme music outside the facade of the Queen Victoria pub.

With fellow cast members in the audience, James became emotional as he said it was a “dream” to represent the soap on the dancefloor.To kick off Saturday’s show, the professional dancers and judges also performed a routine which moved through numerous classic BBC shows including Casualty, EastEnders and University Challenge.
