For a second straight week, the board faced frustrated families and concerned community members after a solicitor shakeup earlier this month.
CARLISLE, Pa. — Rubble on the side of Waggoner's Gap Road is all that remains of the old Bellaire Elementary School in Carlisle.
School district officials have their eyes set on reconfiguring Carlisle's kindergarten through eighth-grade programming based on one of two models, after starting with ten when the idea was first brought to life. Concerns were made clear during a school board meeting about one of the possible location's proximity to the Turnpike.
"This will be a heavy and expensive lift," CASD Board Member Dr. George Stroud said."I'm thinking about ten years from now, twenty years from now, will we still need more room?"Earlier this week I spoke with Carlisle Area School District Superintendent Colleen Friend.
