Balouma wasn’t necessarily looking to open up a second restaurant, but when a highly coveted liquor license became available, he saw it as an opportunity to add some diversity and finer dining to the overwhelmingly casual downtown dining scene. Hailing from Lyon, Balouma stayed loyal to his French roots, delivering a concept that was a bit lighter, but had all of the flash and flair of the Cote d’Azur.
