DC Comics revealed a new Poison Ivy cover from artist Joshua Middleton that's so stunning that it should be the model for the DCEU's version of the iconic Batman anti-hero.
In stunning new Poison Ivy cover art from superstar artist Joshua Middleton, the DC Comics villain gets a look so beautiful that the DCEU should be taking notes when they start adapting her to live-action. In a new cover for Poison Ivy #3 by DC Comics, Pamela Isley surrounds herself in nature with flowers and butterflies around her, as the popular character is in her element.
Joshua Middleton is one of DC's premier cover artists, as the versatile illustrator has shown off many different styles with his art. However, some of Middleton's most standout pieces have seen him take DC Comics heroes and villains and give them hyper-realistic looks that are gorgeously rendered and breathtaking to look at.
The image cover art is comic book perfection, as the costume, setting, flowery details, and butterflies sitting atop her body encapsulate the hero's identity beautifully. With Poison Ivy eventually making her way to the DCEU, the Joshua Middleton image should be a case study on adapting her original look to the big screen, as the DC Comics cover art is flawless.
Middleton rarely doesn't deliver something unique and stunning with his DC Comics cover art, and the new Poison Ivy piece is no exception. It's so photorealistic that if you told us that it was a real costume test/concept art photo from the DCEU we would probably believe it. Poison Ivy has never looked better. The Joshua Middleton cover will release on the front of Poison Ivy #3 by DC Comics, which arrives in comic book stores in August.
