The landowner has applied with the city of Eloy to amend the city's general plan, which guides the city's future growth, to increase residential density and allow for development of a mix of uses. The property is currently designated for one dwelling unit per acre.Details have not been finalized for the project and could change as it progresses, but documents submitted to the city say the current proposal comprises 2,618 residential units with a density of 3.
"The approval of this community as proposed provides significant benefits to the city such as necessary infrastructure improvements, a dedicated elementary school site, historical trail and centrally located park area to support new and existing residents and meet the goals of the city of Eloy general plan," project documents said.
