This consists of a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology and is connected to a terrain database to assist the crew in navigating through challenging environments such as dust, sand, snow, fog, and other "degraded" areas. The helicopter has other arrays of defensive systems from the image, too. These systems are located on the top of the nose, above the canopy, and on struts on both sides of the front fuselage. They consist of visual/infrared missiles, radar, laser warning sensors, active jammers, and other electronic warfare systems.
