The state is now taking reservations for the new overnight lodge at Hocking Hills State Park, opening this fall.
The lodge replaces one that was destroyed by fire in 2016. Unlike the old lodge, which did not have overnight guestrooms, the new property will feature 81 rooms for overnight stays, overlooking the state’s most scenic state park.The $40 million lodge is under construction on roughly the same footprint as the previous building, just south of the park’s Old Man’s Cave area off Ohio 664.
The lodge will be managed by South Dakota-based Regency Hotel Management, which operates eight other state park lodges in Ohio. For reservations and more information:In other state park development news, Maumee Bay State Park, on the Lake Erie shore just east of Toledo, is building a new four-bedroom Reunion Cabin, with accommodations for 20, views of the lake, a fully stocked kitchen, lakeview porch and outdoor firepit.
The cabin should be ready for overnight stays in early July, although reservations and pricing information is not currently available.
