“We were just under his spell,” Mombourquette said. “I knew that he was kind of a national treasure. But, you know, when I met him, I was like, there's no way we can't do this.” The play is of course already written so was a natural place to start. The poems are mostly complete. “If we concentrate on and talk about the ways in which we are alike, it will hopefully illuminate in some ways a clearer understanding about those areas in which we are unalike and that sort of drive a wedge between us as a human entity,” he said.
