Prelude to the Best Sommelier of Canada Contest | SaltWireNEW GLASGOW, N.S. — A 36-year-old man was arrested by New Glasgow Regional Police last week, Oct. 16, for property damage.
Robert William Cleary was arrested on George Street in New Glasgow following numerous calls to 911 around 4 p.m. on Oct. 16 of a man actively smashing windows and causing significant property damage to the homes around Clyde and George Street. Cleary has been charged with four counts of mischief under $5,000, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order and possession of property obtained through crime under $5,000.
The situation is still under investigation. Cleary is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on Oct. 25.
