Docs by the Bay has announced its recruited another family doctor to the Quinte West and Brighton areas.
Dr. Peter Stryde has signed agreements with the City of Quinte West and the Municipality of Brighton to practice family medicine out of his Trenton campus starting in the next few weeks. Dr. Stryde is initially from Newfoundland and Labrador, receiving his undergraduate education and medical training at Memorial University of Newfoundland.“Prior to moving to this area, I had been practicing family medicine for 8 years in rural Newfoundland. As the years went on, being separated from family in Ontario became more challenging and was further magnified because of the pandemic.
“Once we settled upon the Quinte West region, we began communicating with medical recruiters and colleagues about what the area had to offer. I appreciate the support I have received from both recruiters and colleagues through my relocation and as I prepare to begin my family medicine practice in Quinte West. I am particularly happy to be opening a medical clinic in an under-serviced region so that I can assist in providing access to care for some of the many unattached patients in the area.
