Nearby residents have shared their shock after a fire broke out in their village
. On Friday, February 17, a fire in Saxondale was reported to the emergency services at around 7pm.
"It was very surprising, it was totally unexpected and if it happened there why wouldn't it happen here as we have another farm here. Nothing like that has ever happened before, it's like arson." Housewife Julie Place, 58, said: "We saw it, but I don't remember what time. We saw it go up and then we rung the farm and couldn't get through to them.
"In the past there has been a lot of things happen here, like farm machinery being stolen. I didn't know anything about it until afterwards, but it's awful.
