An investigation is underway
Surrounding Nottinghamshire villages are offering a space for Gotham residents after their village hall was ravaged by a fire. Gotham Memorial Hall, also home to the Orchard Surgery GP practice and a library, was devastated by the blaze on Thursday, February 16.
She said people from Clifton, Plumtree and Barton in Fabis had all been in contact with her. "We've had offers from surrounding village halls, if anyone wants to use their facilities they're quite welcome to get in touch with them," she said."I've passed their details onto regular users and it's their decision going forward." An investigation into the fire was launched by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service on Friday .
"The joint investigation into the cause of the fire began at 10.30am today, and will most likely continue for the rest of the day." Ms Litchfield said she had no idea as to how the fire started.
