Robert Santore contended he did not always get needed eye drops in Northumberland County Prison.
WILLIAMSPORT – A former inmate who attributed his eyesight problems to not being provided his prescription eye drops while in the Northumberland County prison has settled his federal lawsuit for $362,500.
When the suit was filed in May 2022, Santore was blind in one eye and had only 4 percent sight in the other. In July 2020, Zhao increased the eye drop prescription to three times daily but he claimed he frequently did not receive the medication.
