Police in Kansas made a surprising discovery over the weekend when they scanned a cat’s microchip and found the feline had somehow made it to the Midwest – all the way from South Florida.
"I've never heard of anything like this in my 20-plus years of service," police Captain Ivan Washington told According to a Facebook post from the department, animal control officers"contacted the owner in Miami" and found out that the pet parent was still holding out hope Lucky would come home after disappearing in Florida two years ago.
