Eastbound I-90 is closed at North Bend and the westbound lanes are closed at Ellensburg.
The closure began shortly before 2 a.m. due to near zero visibility. The Washington State Department of Transportation said it is snowing hard with gusty winds and blowing and drifting snow.White Pass/US 12 is also closed due to snow slides.
Stevens Pass closed at 5 a.m. for avalanche control work. The closure could last anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours.Both Snoqualmie & White passes are CLOSED. Stevens Pass remains open but chains required on all except AWD/4WD and conditions are very challenging. Also note avalanche control is scheduled for Stevens at 5 AM and closure could last anywhere from 30 mins-2 hrs
