California School for the Deaf, Laytonville show class after CSD’s rally in NCS Division VI final falls short
CSD players stuck around to congratulate the winners and then took a group photo with Laytonville.
“You’ve got to look at the bigger picture,” he said. “The deaf community is pretty small, and Laytonville, their community is pretty small, too.”CSD had many standouts in its bid for the program’s third NCS championship. Senior Shaelyn Johnson was 2 for 5 with two RBIs and scored two runs, and Jasha Brock was 2 for 5 with two runs.
