The 2023 Naperville Christmas ornament, featuring images of the 5th Avenue train station, Joseph Naper Homestead Statue, Nichols Library, Naperville Women’s Club and North Central College’s Old Main, is now on sale.A drive-through food drive benefiting Loaves & Fishes Community Services will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, in the Naperville Bank and Trust parking lot, 5 S. Washington St.
Orders are being taken for the 2023 Naperville Christmas ornament, featuring the 5th Avenue train station, Joseph Naper Homestead Statue, Nichols Library, Naperville Women’s Club and North Central College’s Old Main. The Naperville ornament was created in 2020 by a Naperville artist and each year since has featured Naperville landmarks on etched brass plated in bright imitation rhodium and strung with a red ribbon.
Several students from Naperville Central and Naperville North high schools were honored by the Naperville District 203 staff and school board this week for earning National African American, Latinx and Indigenous recognition awards.Students eligible for the awards have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, excelled on national tests or earned a score of 3 or higher on two or more Advanced Placement exams.
