A 33-year-old Naperville man who worked as a paraprofessional at a Naperville school has been charged with four counts of felony possession of child pornography after police investigated a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Jeffrey Wickman, of the 25W200 block of Concord Road, was arrested on a warrant Nov. 18 after he turned himself in at the Naperville Police Department.On Tuesday, DuPage County Circuit Judge John Kinsella placed added conditions to his bond.
“Naperville 203 has and will continue to work closely with the Naperville Police Department and DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin’s office on this case,” district spokesman Alex Mayster said in a news release. “Immediately after learning of the investigation, the employee was placed on administrative leave and has not been in contact with students.
A search of Wickman’s Google drive account yielded child pornography, a joint news release from Berlin and Naperville Police Chief Jason Arres said. During a search of Wickman’s home Nov. 1, authorities found cached images of child pornography on Wickman’s electronic devices, the release said.
