The owner jumped into the pickup’s box when the vehicle started to move, but then decided it was not a good place to be and jumped out, breaking his ankle.
The man was awakened about 4:15 a.m. Thursday when he heard his diesel truck start up in his driveway in the 1000 block of Oakley Crescent.
The owner gave chase and tried to open the driver’s door, but the thief had locked it. Police said the truck owner jumped into the box when the vehicle started to move, but then decided it was not a good place to be and jumped out.Police said Monday that the truck had not been recovered. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s with short hair. The truck’s licence plate number is RV6910.
