Nanaimo Fire Rescue experienced another high call volume day Thurday with 41 calls as 20 new firefighters are about to start in August
Nanaimo Fire Rescue is seeing continued high call volumes as it nears the addition of 20 new firefighters.“We’re extremely busy. I mean year after year our call volume continues to climb, especially in the downtown core where we’re at,” said Captain Tom Krall, with Nanaimo Fire Rescue.
“NFR will exceed 12,000 incidents by the end of next year which we were predicted to reach two decades from now,” said Chief Tim Doyle, in a report to Nanaimo City Council on December 2nd.
