More than 1 in 5 New Jersey residents reported working remotely, a big increase from before the pandemic, according to recently released U.S. Census data.
, but remote work may become a part of work life in New Jersey. Recently released Census data showed that more than 1 in 5 Garden State residents worked from home in 2021.
New Jersey ranked 8th last year in the U.S. for remote workers. Remote work is expected to remain high this year as well and is unlikely to see a big swing in the other direction, according to Adam Ozimek a researcher at Upwork, who“I think it’s declined a little bit, but it hasn’t gone back to normal because people are embracing remote work for the long run,” Ozimek said.
