The Bergen County man was charged with aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated criminal sexual contact, according to the county prosecutor.
John Ramirez, of Englewood, faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated criminal sexual contact, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced in a statement.
Englewood police on Tuesday notified the prosecutor’s office special victims unit about the allegation, according to Musella. A joint investigation by police and special victims unit detectives alleged Ramirez abused the child, who was younger than 16, “on more than one occasion,” in Englewood, the prosecutor’s statement said.
No other information was immediately available. Musella said Ramirez was sent to the Bergen County Jail ahead of a court hearing.
