Rachael hopes her achievement will inspire other parents to give buggy running a go
Pushing a pram can be hard work at the best of times, but one mum has set a new world record for the fastest 10k run while pushing her daughter along.
It was while taking part in last year's Alderley Edge Bypass 10k, organised by Run Northwest, that she managed to set the new standard, with a time of 39 minutes and 24 seconds.
"It was fun to set myself a challenge to focus on whilst on maternity leave and to be able to continue my hobby." As for anyone considering taking it up, the teacher turned civil servant said: "My advice for anyone wanting to try it is try to join a local community of buggy runners for daily inspiration - I joined a Facebook group.
