Police raced to the smash after being alerted to the incident at Junction 6 at Newhouse at around 7.55am on Tuesday, March 7. There is no information at this stage on any casualties.
Cops were forced to close down the road but it had now reopened, and traffic is tailing back to Junction 8..A spokesperson said: "The M8 eastbound is blocked due to a multi-vehicle collision.Police Scotland have been approached for comment.READ MORE:
