This marks the first mini-series run since 2013 with four new episodes set to delight fans.
Mrs Brown’s Boys fans have been left delighted after it was confirmed that the hit BBC comedy would be returning for a fourth mini-series. Despite regular festive episodes, it’s been ten years since a new series was produced.
Speaking of his delight, Brendan O’Carroll said: “This mini-series was actually planned for 2021. Having been thwarted twice, firstly by Covid-19 and then by a post Covid shortage of studios, it’s fantastic to, at last, have the chance to make it happen. Fasten your seatbelts and hold onto your hats!”Josh Cole, Head of Comedy, BBC Studios and Steven Canny, Executive Producer said: “There’s no one quite like Mrs. Brown.
However, there's been a mixed reaction to the announcement on social media, with one person saying: "Ugh...Mrs Brown Boys returning. I hope it's funnier then the Christmas special ones." Another added: "This is such good news. I was gutted it got cancelled because of the pandemic."
